Thanks so much for the great tips!
Normally I used a wire brooder covered on three sides to prevent drafts. They did much better then.
Now I have a new one with solid sides and I think it's freaking them out when we lean over.
Doing the talking and quiet sitting, always have, it's just working slower. Yeah, lotsa drama when I clean
and feed!!! I'm really slow and gentle when I do it though, soft talking, some are responding!
I've never had RIR's, or ordered from a hatchery usually buy local or from family so maybe that's
a tad different... I haven't been picking them up except to clean two pasty butts, so no chasing
or drama. Daughter comes home today and she'll be doing a bunch of conditioning! I can't keep
her away and she's such a sweet talker!
Meal worms are on the grocery list!!
