so we got our chicks last night.. they are 4 days old today. they are absolutely precious.. a friend told me as far a sexing that if there are 2 rows of wing feathers its a hen .. if they are all the same a rooster. so i believe ( if this is correct ) i have 5 hens and 1 rooster.( i really hope its not 5 roosters and 1 hen :/ ) they are dominique and buff orpington cross. .. i just find it odd that the one i think may be the roo is smaller than the others and i thought it would be the other way around.. but he has short little stubby wings different from the others and he even acts different . he acts like he likes attention and almost like he is watching out for the others while they eat. the cat came in and seen them ( he cant get them and i was there.lol) and that one chic just went right up to the cage to the cat.. is this rooster behavior already ?
