My babies did NOT like it outside....

3 week olds.... Dh is working on coop/run right now so I only have a temporary place for them outside as long as I am out there with them.

DH and I took them out earlier, took 2 of the 6 out and they were NOT happy..... the "chicken wire fence" had too big an opening and they took off, were chirping and wanted back in their brooder tub we had outside. I am sure they would have been happier with EVERYBODY together but I am nervous to do that since I what we have is makeshift

should I have given them more time or is this normal for first time outside? We bought them so there is no mama hen around

I laid a box on its side on the ground and placed all of the chicks in it. They were a little afraid at first but soon came out and loved it. They all started taking dustbaths and then fell to ground in the "dead chick" pose while soaking up the sun.

just give them soom time put them all togethere and mack sure they can not get out
