I just wanted to share a few pictures of my silkie chicks. I am so happy with them and love watching them grow. I want more but the hubby says that 10 is enough. I love the wild dos they get as their crests start to grow in. My whites are 1 week younger than the rest but hold their own with the bigger ones. One of my white chicks follows around one of my buff of red partridge, not sure of the colors yet. So glad I went with silkie chicks. Just wanted to share.

Oh my goodness....I'm in cuteness overload! They are adorable!! My silkies will be arriving in 3 weeks and I'm soooo excited for them, it will be my first time having silkies and I'm so looking forward to it!! Your babies are gorgeous, have fun with them!! :)

They are gorgeous! I like those chipmunk colored ones!

These are my first chickens too. I went with silkies because they are so cute when adults and they are docile enough for kids to handle them, I have 3. We wanted chickens for eggs but I fell in love with the silkie, we can still eat them it's just gonna take more when we cook them. Good luck with you silkies when you get them, they grow and change so fast.

I have just one silkie right now, a buff girl and one EE. I'm expecting 2 more from My Pet Chicken next month. My silkie is so sweet and docile and she is so good with the EE. You can never have enough silkies

They are so so cute! I just bought some silkie eggs to hatch! I hope I get some of the partridge like yours!

I just love the fluffy!

My logic for silkies is that they're only >2lbs, therefore 2-3 silkies = 1 regular chicken In theory this means that I can have 18 silkies and not be over my 6 chicken limit :)

Love my silkies, they are so funny. The only thing that I don't like about them, you have to wait until they get older to find out what you have. I don't mind having roos and I think they are beautiful but I wanted more hens than roos. The eggs might be small but you can still eat them. My kids love these little birds, my daughter would carry them around all the time if I let her, she was afraid of the big chicken when we went to get our chicks but now she won't leave them alone. This is one of my favorite chicks, not sure what color it will be but I find it adorable right now. It is also the slowest at feathering out. ONe of the biggest chicks and the slowest feathering out, has be stumped but can't wait to see what color it turns out as an adult. Can't wait to see some of your chicks when you get them and post pictures, I love silkie chicks.

They are so cute! really fluffy! my oldest daughter wants one but it'll have to wait i want NO roos.. i have drakes enough testosterone here thank you very much
