My chicks "somewhere over the rainbow"!!! Never thought it was possible to love chickens so much!!! I'm definitely attached!!!!

Oh, just wait. It gets even better!! Wait until they grow up and develop personalities. They will really get into your heart with their funny antics, their attitudes and their attention needing. Spend a lot of time with these babies. And at 6 weeks old when you get them out into their coop and run, make sure to go sit down with them in the run for a while each day. Let them climb on your lap and pretty soon they will become lap babies. Attention seekers. You will find out just how much fun they really are.

This IS their coop! They have spent the last few days there with the heat lamp! I am out there many times a day just hanging out with them! I never understood "free-ranging" because I couldn't imagine them not running away, but the other day I got brave and let them out while I was doing yard work, and they just followed me around! They behave better than our dogs!!!!!
