First batch of chicks said 3 weeks old but jersey giants are smaller the leggorns and sextets. I use an old dog kennel with cardboard taped around the bottom so they dont escape and lots of room (except now tgey are trying to fly around when its bed time. Even using smaller crate with bottom removed for some time in the grass (a little a day)
