My baby Jersey Giant can't walk!!!

It was in the winter. I didn't have any other bird that got sick. I had 200 hens at the time and isolated her. Gave her medicated water, but I don't know if she drank. I don't know what was wrong but wished I had just given her an injection. She went into the dumpster ; she did not last 24 hours. Any sign of illness and I inject now. I have only had a rooster get ill since, injected him and he rebounded fast.

I'm so sorry your bird is not doing well. I was thinking that the layer mix may be too hard on her kidneys at this stage, so if you can go back to grower feed when she recovers and she will eat, I'd do that. If she's eating egg it is very good for her, so is yogurt and the olive oil you're using. I'm hoping this is not Marek's because of the lameness. But I lack experience, and I hope others who really know birds will collaborate to assist you.

I just wanted to write and thank all of you, she seems to be doing a lot better. She still isn't walking around, but she is standing at times and taking a few steps and just is looking better.
I have no idea what happened, other than a possible broken leg. But giving her the eggs mixed with yogart and OO, the vitimans and the antibiotics in her water..plus taking her away from the babies and getting her in the sunshine suring the day has made a world of difference!!
Thanks again~!
