My bantam hen's leg is giving out.

So is she kind of squatting then? If she's laying, and doing that position, I'd give her a 1/2 a tums tablet in some wet treat if she's a bantam, or 1 whole one if she's not since you feel you've been giving a good bit of scratch. I'd also very delicately feel her abdomen (near her vent, and forwards between her legs) to see if you feel a retained egg. It sounds like she's molting (because of the pinfeathers), but she could possible be holding back an egg. I'd also make sure she and all layers have free choice crushed oyster shell available free choice.

check her vent as well - see if it's relaxed and loose, more like ___ shaped than a tiny - shape. You want to see if she's supposed to be laying and the eggs aren't making it out. ALso look for any white clingy droppings right by the vent or just under it. Let us know what you find, please. Thanks!

It's been over 3 weeks that I first noticed my bantam was having problems walking. She is still walking the same way slow and gingerly. She spreads her wings out a lot whens she's walking. She's eating well. I have been giving her poly-vi-sol, calcium and cut back on scratch. Her regular diet is layers pellets. Her eyes look good and her new feathers are coming out. Her comb is on the shrunken side but she never did have a robust comb. What to do????
