My barred Plymouth Rock won’t lay

We got her over 2 months ago and they told us she was 4 months old so we expected eggs after a few months. She is as big as my rir and her crown and waddles are big and red I keep thinking it’s going to happen any day but still hasn’t. I leave my rir eggs in nesting box for a few days at a time so she knows where to go. She free ranges all day with my others I’m hoping she’s not laying anywhere I’m our yard. Maybe I’m just getting impatient. My rir squats for me but I can’t even get my Plymouth close enough to see if she will squat. Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you.
