I have 4 chickens, two Buff Orpingtons, one Rhode Island Red, and a Barred Rock. My poor Barred Rock has developed some kind of injury in her leg, and I don't know what to do, or if I can even help her. She was perfectly fine when I first got her.

-She is slightly lighter than the other chicks in weight, and she is about 2 months old.
-She has been eating and drinking, but she is very inactive.
-Her coopmates have been occaisonally stepping on her, but they aren't showing any signs of aggression.
-She shows no signs of fatal diseases.

Please help!

Is there visible damage to be seen on the leg? Have you checked the bottom of the foot for sores? If you can, please share pictures.

The good news is that chickens are resilient creatures. This past spring, the horse stepped on the top of my Barred Rock rooster's foot while the chickens were free ranging in the pasture. "Ace" limped for a few days however soon healed and lived on happily!
