My Barred Rock lays large Green Eggs

Ok here is another picof Vida our blue wonder.

He still looks 'very young'.. he will start to once he fills out some more. Some roosters start early, others pretty late.

I have a Wyandotte mix rooster that didn't start crowing until he was 6 months old. A bit unusual but then now that I think about it, he is also a very big boy..

The more you mention it and the more we look at the Cochin roosters, he/she sure resembles them.

Isn't he huge though? How old do you think he is? We have only had him for about two weeks, and I was told that they all were about 5 months or so, can that be?
He looks strange, really long legs and large body, kind of like a Duufus...Ha ha.

Never the less, we love him, and my husband adores him, hence the Vida Blue name..some baseball player I was told. Oh well, we will see if he crows and maybe...just maybe, it will turn aout to be a humongous girl.

Hi I also believe I have a barred rock which we found in a parking lot and she layed 3 eggs that were different shades of light green. I researched they normally lay brown eggs. She is very sweet and great with the kids.
