I just finnished processing my BBB Turkeys along with 8 roosters. They were all 19 weeks old. Our 2 Toms came in a 25.5 Lbs. and 23.5 Lbs.
Our 2 hens came in at 19.5 and the other 21.5.
It was really nice to see them turn out so well. I cant wait to try one. They are resting in the fridge right now. Once they lossen up Im going to soak them in a pre-freeze bath of a very weak brine. Then we dry them and freeze them. Im going to try one out next weekend, the rest are for the holidays.

Wow great job It looks so good!!! How did the process go for the turkeys. I just did 26CX yesterday and we were supposed to do the turkeys(2 BBWs) also but it got too late into the night so we left them. They are gonna be going on 18 weeks and I know its about their time but im dreading doing the deed now, Im still a little nautious thinking about yesterday

Please let us know how the turkey turns out when you cook the first one. We will be cooking a few of our chickens after their rest in the refridgerator so probably wed or thurs.

I raised 8 BBW last year and boy were they good. I don't brine as I prefer to add salt later in the cooking process myself. Mine were huge-- at 35#. Abit much for a family of four to manage but we did.
