My perfect, precious, gorgeous little roo. He was laying in the back yard dead. There were feathers everywhere and he had bite marks around his neck but was otherwise intact. I am starting to think I shouldn't even have my chickens. that is two losses in the past few weeks and it hurts. I love each one of them so much. I don't know what killed either of them. I haven't told my kids yet. They are going to be devestated.

I'm so sorry you lost him. He was gorgeous. PLEASE don't give up on chickens.... Let us help you... There is something out there killing them and someone is bound to have tips for you to keep them safe.
Again... I am so sorry. I lost my favorite roo a week ago and it's awful. ((hugs)) :aww

Sorry for your loss. This is one of the hardest parts of raising chickens.
The great life he had makes it worth it all in the end. Don't give up if love raising birds.
