My beloved oranda is dieing :(

ive always done large water changes ever since he was young. the test kit used is API master test kit(drops) and i have been told is one of the best and not very old so the readings were correct.
and yes he was pineconed horrabley. im thinkng what cuased this is a few weeks back the power was out for a few days i feared they would die so my bf offerd to house them in his newly emptied 55 gallon i was worried becuase he only change the water 10 percent every few months. but i figured if i did 100 percent water change and put my own filters on they would be ok. well they were for the first 2 days but then everyone began to get floaty and my telescope nearly died. i had completly forgot to test the water in that tank becuase once the fish began showing these symptom i took them home where they seemed to all recover.
thank you everyone for being so understanding i was afraid i would be laughed at "your upset over a fish??" type thing its noice to know im not a weirdo for loving a fish
