My birds! Just to show off...and get a little info :)

I'm new so don't be too hard on me. I just have a backyard laying flock to enjoy!

Here is my roo- pretty much positive he's a White Crested Black Polish. I LOVE all his irredescent feathers!

Here he is again with a couple of his ladies. Can anyone tell me what these hens are?

Is this a Polish hen (I know, she's a hen...but is she a Polish? Has irridescent feathers as well)?



We also have some RIRs, BRs, and some EEs that escaped having their pictures taken. Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

LOVE your Polish boy's crest by the way - Very nicely sized.

The other girls are Gold Sexlinks.


The black girl is either a Black Minorca, Black Leghorn, or Andalusian.

Thanks for the info on the Gold Sexlinks! Would I be able to tell the sex of the chicks from this cross? All our chicks are either yellow with black spots or black (or black with barring///i'm guessing those are the BRs chicks).

Hello fellow Michigander. Handsom roo you have there. The Buff hens look like my Buff Orpington- super friendly. Do they look like this close up?

I suppose those lighter feathers around the tail would suggest a mixed breed like sex link though.

Hi! I haven't seen too many folks from Michigan on the board so far!

We do have some hens that look like her- so must be we have some Orps too! But these two have really light colored feathers in their tails and also some light colored feathers up around their necks.​

By the way there is a whole Michigan thread, but I find it kind of hard to follow because it is on so many different topics.
