My Black Giant is PIPPING!UPDATE!

Well, he didn't fluff

Sticky looking, but dry. When that happens, does it just wear off or do you clean it off somehow?

The other four eggs in the incubator I have question marks on- so, aside from the normal surprise if they hatch- they will be extra surprises. That baby BG could wake the dead though, he is so loud in there!

My blue egg is wiggling!

Well, still no pip. However, it will wiggle when I whistle. Dunno why it didn't come out yet (tomorrow is Day 21). The BG is doing well, I suppose. Her fluff is crunchy, and I thought she may have a touch of spraddle leg, but nothing that I would tape her legs for. Starting to actually walk now so that is good.

I spent the day quite distracted- built a new brooder

Its a double decker, 4ftl X2 ftw by 3 ft high. I put a floor in the middle and a roost on the bottom, and it is currently occupied by Carmen, the house chicken. I blocked half of the top off, length-wise and moved my babies into their new home. Much more room for them to run and stretch now.

I planted tomatoes and corn- and I added four foot in height of green fence to my split-rail fence- the CHICKEN yard. Now its too tall to fly up and out- even if there is a Superchicken in the bunch. Was very funny, my cat went to leap onto the split rail, met with green fence- and BOOF came back down. heh heh heh.

So, after all of that, I come inside to see my newly hatched BLUE EGG chick- and NO PIP!
