My black Polish is growing white feathers

Is that normal? She's lost some of the feathers on her crest and they're being replaced with white ones. She looks quite cute!

How old is she and are you sure she does'nt have White crested blood in her? The reason why I ask how lod she is, is because when some black birds start getting old, they start turning white. I have a Black Swedish duck and she had the normal white bill for a long time, but now, every time she molts she gets more white.

She's less than 2 years old. I have no clue if she has white crested in her because I got her off Craigs List several months ago.

Well IDK, I got some pullets from TSC and the two that I assume were polish ended up solid black, and one of them had white in the crest when she was younger.

Sometimes a damaged black feather will grow back in as white. It's normal.

Are you sure she's not a Crevecoeur? I think it would be rare to see a Polish that was solid black (in the U.S. anyway...I think it's fairly common overseas).
