I feel so awful. Tonight when I was feeding my ducks and chickens my blind duck Faith wasn’t in her usual spot. Faith is almost a year old. I got her last fall the fella who had her was looking for a new home for her and if he couldn’t find a home was gonna kill her. So of course I took her in. She was a quiet little duck. All day she would sleep in the corner of the coop under a little table it was her favourite little spot she was always there, except for at night when she would come alive and act like a normal duck. My goose loved her always protected her. My other ducks and chickens didn’t pay too much mind to her. Well I recently added a 25x50foot covered run and new pond to the coop.

Tonight faith wasn’t in her spot. To my horror we found her floating in the pond could see some feathers missing where the other ducks must have picked on her. I’ve never seen her go near the pond it was over 50ft away from the coop I don’t know how she got down there.i thought she was dead. We scooped her out with a net she was lifeless until I picked her up and then she moved a tiny bit. Her saving grace was a small tear between the liner and the underlayment of the pond must have been an air pocket and her head was in there. I took her in her dried her off, blow dried her. She was hardly moving that was about an hour ago. She’s now standing up starting to quack but is still a little fidgety. She’s a fighter but I don’t think she’s gonna make it. God I feel so guilty, I took her trying to save her life, and look what happened. I’m gonna keep her in The house in a little dog carrier. Is there anything I can do for her?

Is she slipping on the floor? If she is, you should put down a towel or something for her to walk on, or she may hurt herself further. Monitor her until we can find out what to do. I will tag @Isaac 0 , as he has alot more experience than I do.
