So sorry, I, too, lost all my breeding Spitzhaubens and Blue and Black Orp flocks (except for a pair) due to predators, mainly coyotes at a friends farm and we both were sick about it. Now I have to do it all over again. Yes those BYCers are the GREATEST folks to have and they would all jump in to help whatever they can and beyond.

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your loss. :aww That would be so devastating. I almost lost my 16 wk. old PR cockerel to a dog attack the other day and it was terrifying. We didn't know if he was going to live or die, but he has pulled through and a huge lesson was learned by the kids. It's so hard when life's lessons slap us in the face, isn't it? I wish I had some fertile eggs to send, but I got rid of my RIR roo 2 wks. ago and my PR cockerel isn't doing the job yet or I sure would send you some in a heartbeat. My Silkie should be laying any time now, but I haven't seen an egg yet and I only have the one so it would be awhile before I had much to send. It does sound like several people are taking care of you. Good luck with everything!

Sorry, msrma, Mom said the neighbors that I remember got rid of their chickens, and she doesn't know anyone else with fertile eggs. She said if she thought of anyone sle who has them she'd let me know, though.

What a nightmare for you! I am so sorry for your losses. We all get careless here and there, not one of us is perfect. I hope you and your children aren't being too hard on yourselves.

Thank you everyone fro your help.

I went out today and belive it found baby cuckoo marans, and welsemers,
along with silver wyandotts, and a single turken. Could not belive at this time of year.
I thought I was going to be eggless come spring but there is still hope.

Baby turkens really do look strange. My son thought he was evolving and found the missing link.
I will try to post some pics at a later time thanks everyone for your help. I know I have also made arangments
for eggs and will still honor them. Can;t wait to help someone else out with eggs come spring.
