My BO laid 2 eggs in less than 12 hours

Almost 7 month old Buff Orp. Laid her first egg 3 days ago.

I guess she was holding back, because she laid one this morning, sometime after 7 am. About 5pm I saw her head for the hen house. It is hot out, so I assumed she was just heading for better shade.

When I went out to close everyone in for the night, I found her second egg in the nest box.

So I collected 4 eggs from my 3 hens today!

She is just making up for lost time, I guess. All my other hens started laying a month ago.

Either way, she is my 5 year old's pet, so her place in the coop was already assured, double eggs or not!
