My boys and I would like to know....

We did get them from a hatchery. I forgot that they throw a free rare chick in there. We ordered and received on a Monday, by Thursday of that week we had lost all but 6 out of 25. That really stunk, had a homeschool group ready to come up and see what country life is all about. I had to call and let them know it wasnt a great idea with the state the chicks were in. (real young kids) Then a week later e got our replacement order of girls. They say they used a number of males to keep the others warm (no less than 25 to ship) but we counted and after the few more losses out of the second batch we have NO idea how many males or females we ended up with. How soon should I be able to tell. We tried to follow the directions to figure it out when we first got them....but yeah right. After reading that it takes people years of sexing chickens to get the science down we gave up. So how long does anyone think it will take for us to figure out what lil boys or girls we have?
