my boys turkey is sick

i bought a turkey about two weeks ago and it seems to be sick. it has a swollen leg joint and now hardly even moves. this morning it was still asleep and breathing very heavy. it has all it's adult feathers but is still very young. it would still hop on one foot to water and food, but now lays right bu the food and water so it doesn't need to hardly move is there meds or anything i can do. i am not raising it for food, just a pet.

What are you feeding it? turkeys grow a lot real fast and they need good high protein turkey or game bird food or lots of bugs to build those big bones.

I'm just learning about turkeys myself.
What are his droppings like?
Has he been kept with chickens or other birds?
Has he been like this for the whole two weeks or is he getting worse?

thank you for your replies. the turkey died just about a half hour after the post. i was feeding it turkey starter. yes it was in with another chick that i bought from the same feed store at the same time. my daughter picked the chick and my son picked the turkey. my son is 6 and did not take the news real well. we have since got him another turkey from a different feed store. i don't know what kind of turkey it is though. it's fuzz is yellow and gray. it had started getting feathers that are white and grey. any ideas?
