My BR hen is acting funny?

Yesterday i went in the yard and i noticed that the BR hen would sit down every time i would face her or go near her. I would leave the yard and she would get up like nothing every happened. She even let me and the kids pet her which never happened before. My thought is she is ready for a tom am I correct? Is there something else going on?

Yes she is ready to mate, it's getting to be that time of year.

That's good to know. How old are turkeys when they start laying eggs? I will get a tom for my 2 hens as soon as I can find a Bronze in my area.
