...whomever said brahma's are slow maturing wasnt kidding! LOL
my girls are finally getting their fluffy rumps, they are June hatch.

I sure like them, my gorgeous fluffy girls, does anyone think they
are good enough to go to the county fair next summer? they are
pets for me and I dont show birds but they are so nice.

this guy I bought for a roo, he is a leggy bugger, He and the pullets next
to him are the same age....august, you can see how much bigger/taller
he is. Looks like a geeky teenage boy.

Their tails are supposed to be sorta open and horseshoe shaped when viewed from behind. and they have middle toe feathering, but just depending on who else shows in the fair in your area, who knows? If you wanted to show, you could take them just for the experience and learn all you can about showing. I would like to show some of my birds, but never have yet.

I dont know, ive never found a standard on them, im sure its there, I just cant
find it. i think it was to cold for them to put their tails up hahaha

no, Im not looking to show birds, I dont have time, I already show
horses at a national level . but if the grandkids wanted to take
them that would be fun. but if they were to crummy, I wouldnt
put the kids through it.

I hear ya. Probably just depends where you are from, and how "deep" the field is in your area, same as in horses. I saw some pics of chickens at the Ohio Nationals and said to myself DA UM I got better birds than that sitting right in my back yard. Lots of them. Any way you could see pics from last year's fair, or talk to the superintendent or something?
