Our hen developed a strange habit 4 weeks ago. She is constantly, throughout the day and into the late night (until she sleeps), making a steady, non-stop noise. It is not a full-on clucking, but something like, "cuh-caw, cuh-caw, cuh-caw...." It's similar to the panic sound made when danger is sensed.
She stopped laying. She eats and drinks and is maintaining her weight. We have to keep her separated from the rest of the coop because they attack her when given the chance.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with this gal?
