My giant blue Cochin hat he'd out four babies and stepped on one.
Her name is boots and the babies names are with the and furr.:lau

So when I explain what to have people do with my birds when I'm gone I say so boots with the fur all go in there...

They are sooooooooo cute.( little explosion going off in my head;that needs to be an emoji)

Yes she was a great sitter I taught her to peck only once when she wanted me away from her eggs then I would go away unless I needed to check the eggs or something else.

I had a Jersey giant go broody a couple of months ago. Hatch 16/16 eggs! Though unfortunately She had stepped on one of the chicks flattening it.. She wasnt really careful about where she placed her feet. She just went broody again. Shes almost in her 3rd week and i've noticed that when she climbs back in her nest after her morning walk her feet/toes would be curled up and wouldn't touch the eggs with her feet at all!

So its pouring here and I went outside to to check on the boot with the fur and the PVC pipe moivible tractor I have has a tar over it and it has multiple small holes for water drainage I go out there and the chicks were under the mom and her back was all wet because she was standing under one of the streams.I moved her and the chi is were all dry and warm.:love
