Are these eggs just a loss or is there a chance they will hatch?

I have always had a banty cochin be my broody and this is about a 18 month old Buff Orp. She gathered the eggs all up out of the different nest boxes and has been sitting on them about 5 days so far, but today and yesterday she has been off the nest and out and about, sitting on perches, etc. and then a few hours she will be back on and then a few hours later she would be off. This is not how my Cochin did it. i rarely saw her off, twice a day, max for her...now, i realize that the temps here in NE Oklahoma are horrid right now so that might have something to do it with it.

any tips? do i just toss the eggs and consider this BO not a good setter?

With as hot as it is there, they will probably be fne. You can candle them over the next week or so and you can tell if they are developing or not.
