My Broody Silkie and her babies!! More pics pg 11!

4 out of 5 babies have hatched!
I said I wouldnt look, I didnt want to bother her, but I couldnt help myself!

2 silkies and 2 cochin/silkie crosses have hatched.
The last egg doesnt even have a pip yet, hopefully it will be out by tomorrow!
Today was day 20 so they came a day early

I will get pictures as soon as possible!!!!!!!

I don't know yet! lol I'm already thinking of a few roosters that might need to go to freezer camp ...

I'm thinking if I have alot of BO chicks then I try and sale a few or give them to a friend of mine.

Lock down is when you are hatching eggs (with a broody or incubator) and on the last 3-4 days you do not touch the broody bird or the eggs or change anything with the incubator. So for example with chickens you would put them in lock down at probably day 18.

tomorrow is lockdown day for me! now does what if the broody hen is still getting up to go to the bathroom and eating and drinking???? should i barricade her in the house?

Here are the pictures!!!
She hatched 2 buff silkies and 2 buff silkie/bantam buff cochins x. One baby never hatched, I opened it and the baby was kinda deformed.
