My broody sleeps under other broodys.

Hi ,I have 3 hens that are raseing 6 ducklings,but the one hen goes under the other ones,sometimes even leaving the ducklings uncovered.I'm wondering if this normal?

How old is the burrowing hen..and the others??
Did all 3 hens sit on the eggs during incubation?
Maybe the burrowing hen is experiencing a 'second childhood '.

They are 1 year old and yes all 3 sat on the eggs together.

Sounds like this could pose a risk of someone getting smothered or overheated. I only let one broody hen hatch chicks at a time, so the chicks are only bonded to one mother.
