Thank you all for your comforting words. it means alot.

I havent spoken to my brother today, i am sure its going to be a long road. he's got himself busy tho, with 5 kids. He did say he was going to wait before he does get another dog. I think that's a good decision in his case. Anyways, thanks again for your thoughts and hugs.
