My butt ugly chicken

I took the top one about a month ago. I was still in denial about the rooster. I think this was shortly after I was enlightened as to what my chicken really was. I look at it now and cant believe I attempted to call Charlie anything but a turkey. Not one of my finer moments.

The bottom one I took yesterday. My daughter decided that the birds needed baths. The hen was fine, but she would have had better luck bathing all three of our cats at once rather than trying to put that turkey into her makeshift bathtub (which was one of my coolers). I gave her props for trying though. Funny thing though, those birds had no problem letting the kids wrap them in towels to dry them off. They sat right there even when my daughter ran in to get her little baby crib. Yes, she wrapped up the hen, put it in the crib, gave it a blanket and a baby doll, told it it was time for bed and I'll be ****** if that hen didn't stay right there and fall asleep. I was trying to work on my 'poor mans' chicken coop and was around the corner when mama told her to take her toys back inside. She had the crib, a chair, blankets, pillows, and even a little minivan dragged out before my wife caught her.

Can a bird be harmed from being over-mothered by a soon to be six year old?

Great pictures. You know your daughter will be reminding you about that for the rest of her life lol we daughters love nothing better than to remind our dads that they don't know everything whenever we can lol.Luckly my dad has a good sense of humor and it should make for good laughs at family events for years:)
