my button quail flew out of the cage and into the woods!!!!!

I opened the cage and one of the button quail flew out of the cage when i opened the door and into the high weeds. I CANT FIND IT!!!!

i've only had it for 2 days and its a male and it flew out of the cage into the tall weeds.
the other one in the cage is also a male and i doubt it will come back but im asking everyone just in case.

Only thing you can do is hope it will come back when it gets hungry. If the other was a female the male might have a better chance at coming back. Hope you see him soon!

we had a jumbo get out today and flew up on the shed dh had to get a net and catch her

You could try to either play sounds of quail or seperate the others and they will call to eachother? I had one saturday that got out with help from my kids. He flew pretty far away but was right back at the bottom of the cage in 2 hours.

make a small cage for the one that you still have, put it inside the larger cage, and leave the larger cage door open. it worked with some people's pheasants, so maybe it will work for your quail. hope this helps and gl with gettin him back
