My call duck Kitsune was looking unwell today. She is acting a little bit lethargic and she opens and closes her eyes kinda weird.
I'm able to catch her pretty easily. She only just started this morning. She is 20 weeks old almost exactly. I can't spend a fortune trying to fix her. This is my first time owning calls and while I have helped raise ducks before and have a lot of knowledge about them, I have never had ducks of my own. I do not think I have a Drake but I have 5 calls overall.
Thank you for any help you could give me!

Can you get a good picture of her poop? Is I she eating and drinking? What are you feeding including treats and any supplements? Do they free range or penned?

They are penned, she eats and drinks, sometimes I give them mealworms in their water as a treat, and I think we feed them kalmbach waterfowl pellets

If you think she is sick you might want to bring her inside so you can monitor her eating drinking and pooping.
I cant bring her inside. When I pick her up sometimes she poops so next time I pick her up I will try to look at her poop before it washes away. Note: When I set her down earlier she did some angry flaps catching some wind but not a lot since we clipped their wings. She was acting normal for a minute or two after I set her down.

Are there any electrolytes I could make at home to help her until I can get rooster booster?
I have seen this recipe recommended/used a lot. You are going to have to scale it up a lot to make enough for her but that should be very easy to do.
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons molasses or granulated sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
