Fox took four but at first thought it was my cat who had guarded these chickens since hatch date plus why when they are 6 months now and not while babies??? it wasn't him he actually has injuries from fighting fox off but when we saw a chicken attacked my bf saw three cat on fix on chicken I saw cat running from chicken so Oliver the chicken herding cat is still a hero amongst the flock... phenomenon still happening.. down from 12 to 8.. very thrilled I have two true EE cockerels one pullet .. pictured

YUP THAT'S WHAT WE THOUGHT AT FIRST BUT THOSE TWO I'M SAYING ARE HIMS ARE DOING THE DEED BREEDING THEY ARE THE ONLY TWO JUMPING ON MY 6 GIRLS .. SIX EGGS EVERY DAY.. AND THE SUSPECTED DO NOT SQUAT LIKE MY SIX PULLETS WHEN I APPROACH VERY INDEPENDENT AND LOTS LESS FRIENDLY... THEY ARE NOT LIKE MY GIRLS THEY DON'T WADDLE AND THEIR HACKLE LOTS MORE POINTY NOW.. THESE ARE OLDER PICS.. WASN'T SEXING CuZ THE TWO SUSPECTED ARE ONLY ONES NO EGGS ..THE HIMS IVE KEPT COMPLETE TRACK TO MAKE SURE AND THEY BOTH CROW TOO.. NONE MY GIRLS DO...THE OTHERS ARE ALL THE SAME EXACT AGE SAME HATCH GROUP THEY ARE POPPING EGGS EVERY DAY FOR OVER A MONTH .. well over a month

i cant make out any roosters either. all photos look like !hens.
a crowing hen is not uncommon( i have had one myself), and some hens have even been know to behave (mount) other hens like a rooster.
they are all Healthy and Beautiful birds! i love the variety of colors of eggs you get.
i hope you do not loose any more to the fox. they can be quite determined after they have discovered a tasty place to get a chicken dinner.
keep us updated and looking forward to more pictures later.

I have fertilized eggs.. only two of my EE are cockerel all others hens I have 8 birds 6 eggs every day from same herns my boys aren't laying and they are confirmed breeding

But I'm wrong I know I am!! History tells me I usually am and to listen to the people who know and y'all know way more n me and yes i was super confused by combs on 2 of my blk austrolorps (both laying now so I was def. Wrong) cuz they were huge difference from my short fat hen so I thought roos... but that's what I get for thinking..
20191104_154510.jpg this bird partridge with blue smoked feathers (just a few highlights) in tail and wings..super pretty all 3 of my EEs...
Other one is lavender black smoke and third is blue smoke
ok i have a question !! I'll listen I promise lol what about this hackle? (Pic above) This it's my partridge EE It's hackle is markedly sharper than my other 2 (theirs alot more blunt and rounder by alot) is this also a pullet?? Ugh if so( but this bird has laid zero eggs for sure all others laying except this and another) they are all in great health worm free plenty of the right everything in diet lots calcium in diet from multiple sources) I don't have a good vs picture And if this one is a pullet I'm bad at this lol...
