My cheapo tractor

I am in the process of trying to complete my tractor. It will be in a fenced garden but the fencing there is not yet racoon proof. If I put mesh on the bottom of the coop will the chickens still be able to eat the weeds through it, which is the point. I suppose I could use one inch by two inch fencing wire which would give the chickens more room to scratch and would keep out the racoons but martins and weasels could get through it if they were able to tunnel underneath. I don't know if they do that or not. I have never seen any evidence of weasels or martins around here but that doesn't mean they aren't here.

I am also finding it hard to locate anything ready made that I can use for the wheels so they lift up when I want to set it down.

What lovely, fancy, poofy chicks!!

I would urge you to consider putting up some shade cloth (or something comparable) or extending the solid covering to provide additional shaded area for your chicks to retreat to on bright, hot days. I'm unsure if Silkies have any special mechanisms of protection, however, I know that other white chickens can easily sunburn.
