My chick excitement just deflated

I have mine shipped to a different post office b/c I like the workers better and it's not busy AT ALL!! That being said, is there a family member or friend that you could have them shipped to and just go pick them up after work? If not..contact your local 4-H club and I'm sure some sweet person would LOVE to help a fellow chickie lover out!!! Blessings,Keri PS. I had a lady contact me last year thru craigslist and she just wanted 2 white frizz chicks! So I added them to my order and even grew them out for her(b/c there were just 2 and we were both afraid of them getting too cold) so at 8 weeks I put them in a boxesforbirds.com box and shipped them to her! She paid the shipping and the cost of the chicks and through in a little extra for me feeding and caring for them! I was happy to do it! She REALLY wanted a white frizz hen and she ended up with 2...LUCKY DUCK!!! Just be creative chickie people are NICE!

You have got to be kidding me! It must be difficult to be that miserable...she obviously has never had the small pleasure of holding a baby chick. I wish you were closer I would help you out.

Well, an update...two of my coworkers that are NICE people and I'm pretty good friends with and that live in town here, said I can pick the chicks up and keep the box at their house until after work. So, I may just do that, pick up the chicks on my daily post office run and drop off at one of their homes and go back to work.

Thinking about it, this is going to be a real pain as we get 2-3 batches of broilers each year too. Stupid post office, if only they still came to our town!

Hooray, for finding a solution! I think I would die a million impatient deaths if I had to wait for chicks in the mail!
Sometimes people at work just "don't get it", and that's OK. You just enjoy the heck out of your chickie-poos!
My chicks arrive at the local feed store on March 31, and I've got my vacation day scheduled.
Good luck!
