My chick has pipped but not zipped. What do I do?

Hi, I have six chicks that were suppose to hatch yesterday, but only one has pipped. That was 17 almost 18 hours ago. He hasn’t zipped at all and I am concerned whether we should wait a little longer to see if he will do anything, or help the poor thing get out? Please help!

Is there any sign of movement from the egg, or any chirping?

DON'T HELP THEM YET... its fine for now, it may just be late and that is alright... make sure the humidity is good and don't open the incubator... they can take 48 hours for the whole hatching process...

Try not to worry. My first chick took over 24 hours to get from pip to zip. I know, I know, the wait is torture!
