There is also chick scratch, which is chicken scratch ground up much finer. My group handles that just fine. I also tried worms from the garden, which they LOVED!!!! Mine personally do NOT like egg, yogurt, or cottage cheese. Picky girls LOL

I have 4 and 5 week old chickies and have had a great time feeding them from my hand. I try to pick them up every day, but it's finals week so maybe next week i'll be more faithful in that..

BUT i found that they LOVE turkey (i know i hear the poultry groans) but i don't care for the turkey breast which someone gave as left overs from Easter dinner.. so hey.. these guys are supposed to be my chickie composters right... out i went.. after they figured out that it was a treat (ha for some reason the cornish X didn't need any encouragement) they were voracious. I did make sure they had grit too.

They also ADORE cottage cheese. i get the large curd and held it between my fingers for the babies.. i Dare not do that for teh CX, i'd get my fingers ripped off.

today's treat was old hard KFC biscuits. big hit.

The only thing they haven't liked... parsley.
