I got two chicks and they seem to like each other but one of them just this morning kept on opening it's mouth but i didnt know what to do so i fed it and he seemed fine but what was the problem?

Do you give them grit too? If they are eating anything but pure chick starter feed, they need chick grit to help break up the food in their crop. Not sure why the chick was opening and closing its mouth but I'd start there, crop issues are fairly common in chicks that age.

I just got the regular chick food at a feed store but i can look into it. Thank you!
 
Other reasons they can open their mouth:

- They get stressed from handling
- They are hot
- Gapeworms or thrush (I think your chicks are too young for these)

They look fine to me though.

Thank you! I have a fan near them so they shouldnt be hot and usualy i let them sit to top of there cage but it could be one of those. Thank you!
 
Are they opening their beaks and stretching their necks out and maybe turning their heads a bit?
They do that to 'adjust their crops'.
As long as they are otherwise eating drinking pooping and moving around OK,
I'd not worry about it.
