Your chickens will eat many kinds of insects as well as frogs, small snakes etc. They will be perfectly fine.

Definitely not. They love to eat critters and it's perfectly natural. I just watched one of mine chase and eat a cricket. Good girl!

Yes, she’s an australorp. Lays one of my nicest eggs. Big, brown with a nice sheen to it. Her name is midnight.
