What were you and they doing at the time of the bitings? It is known to happen but rarely hurts. It could be something as simple as you guys moving too fast and startling her or something more complex like trying to touch a broody hen (not wise).

I am so sorry! I have 4 hens. They are sweet and gentle. They like it when I talk to they, make funny noises at them and feed them. They are chickens. I do not touch them. They trust me. They are not dogs or cats who need affection. You birds will grow to love and trust you if you give them space. I teach little people to not touch my birds. Hope this helps! :)

Mine do sometimes, generally it's out of curiosity, this morning I went out and opened the coop in my neon green running shorts and my cuckoo maran attacked my shorts and then started pecking my toes, she is super sweet and friendly so it was not aggressive on her part she literally started pulling on my shorts--- not wise to wear flip flops to the coop, toes apparently look like juicy worms.

All my birds are loving and actually love being held and cuddled but I had a cockerel once that would come after me and bite and peck me when I got close and he was raised as a baby by me. I re homed him and never had that trouble again. Birds all have their own personality, each are different. I consider myself very fortunate to have such a loving flock that I do. Some birds get territorial, or it could have been something that agitated her that you did or it could just be her personality. If she's done it before and your not doing any thing you can think of to cause it, it just might be her personality. Maybe you can try and work with her a little more and see if she will become more friendly. If she doesn't and it is bothersome you might consider finding her another home. But I wouldn't give up on her until I tried working with her to see if you can stop the behavior. When she pecks you you can take your finger and peck her back not hard but this way she will know your the boss and hopefully stop pecking at you. This will take a few times and then she should understand. I hope this helps and wish you the best.
