My chicken changed colors!

Hey everyone, I don't know if this is a common occurence in brown leghorns but... one of my seven brown leglorns from a hatchery lost its feathers over the summer and went from beautiful brown to white! Her wing in the picture still has brown, but is now completely white as well.

but in seriousness i have not seen a bird change colors except ducks

Hey everyone, I don't know if this is a common occurence in brown leghorns but... one of my seven brown leglorns from a hatchery lost its feathers over the summer and went from beautiful brown to white! Her wing in the picture still has brown, but is now completely white as well.

It's extremely rare but chickens can molt out and then grow back mostly white plumage. I had it happen with one of my Hamburgs. There's a Marans hen on Feathersite that did the same. I think yours is the 3rd that I've heard of.
