Wow...fabulous. I like the boxes for the oyster shell. I think I will have to steal that idea from you. My chickens keep turning over their crocks and dump the oyster shell all over the floor. Great Job!

It was a lot of work, and a couple of , er, disagreements,

but I'm so happy it is done. I really just have some painting touch-ups to do.

I dont know how to make a BYC page, but I will try & maybe even enter into the coop contest if I can figure out how!

Jim honey has decided building one chicken coop was enough for him. He has officially retreated into the garage to work on his motorcycle.......

flowerchild59- the coop is 6X6

philervin- LOL, not a critter trail, we buried electric out to the coop for lights & a heating lamp for the winter..

joebryant- thank you for your kind words & suggestion. ((I do plan to expand the run ( or I mean, have Jim honey expand the run)...shhhhh......))

I couldn't really see the roof, although it looked like you had metal? Which would be similair to what we have. I was wondering where you purchased it because I have checked around locally and we would have to buy it in bulk and we only need 6 X 11 to go over our run. For now we have put a mesh tarp sun shade that is meant for dog kennels on top of the run as a way to keep them cool. Our coop came with the metal roof and a run. We had to build a much larger run. We can't free range much because we have giant hawks that live in the tree next door. You can see my roof on my byc page.
