Even with an angled roof mine still roosted on top of the nesting boxes
. Poo never got in the boxes only all over the top. They eventually stopped after I went out every evening for a while and moved them from their "chosen" roost to the one we built them, but it was messy for a while. Good luck. I think your coop is beautiful, no paont needed it looks primitive
