My chicken died in just 24 hours

I have no idea what happened, I have 12 chickens ( RIR and Black Coppers) they have been fine and happy, yesterday I was out there checking them and one of the coppers comb and waddle was a VERY dark shade of burgandy almost black, but she was acting and eating fine. They're still young birds born in March and they're the first flock I ever had so I thought maybe she's just getting older and that happens. I went out today and she was dead on the ground. All of my other chickens still act and look normal, no darkening of their combs eating fine, laying, etc. Does anyone have any idea at all with what happened to her or a website that I can go to so I can maybe find the anwser. I am terrified for the rest of my flock. Thank you for your help.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your hen.

Hopefully it is something that affected just that chicken and all the rest of your flock will be safe.
