My chicken has a beak bleed

So my chicken got in a fight with another, she got a good size chunk taken out of her beak and it won't stop bleeding. I have taken her out of the coop from the others, i have washed the area and put pressure on it but it will not stop bleeding. She is now isolated from the others while I see if it scabs over. What should i do? Do i take her to the vet? The area is up by her nose. The rest of her beak is fine, I just don't want her to get pecked to death by the others if I put her back in. Please help!

It should stop bleeding. You could try using styptic powder if you can find it. You need to make sure she is fully healed and doesn't have any scabs before putting her back with the rest of the chickens. Watch them closely when you put her back in to make sure they don't pick on her too much.

If you can't find styptic powder, cornstarch will stop the bleeding. Just wait until it's healed to re-introduce her, and blukote may help to stop picking.
