My chicken has a cut on her leg, what can I do?

My chicken got a bleeding cut on her leg and I immediately applied a styptic stick on it and the bleeding stopped. The blood hardened and dryed on her wound and she seemed ok so I haven't done anything else with it. I checked on her today and she seems fine, no swelling or anything abnormal in behavior. Can I just leave it to heal or do I need to put something else on it? I'm leaving for vacation and have someone checking on them every other day but they won't be as vigilant as I would on checking her wound and besides its very difficult to catch her.

I would spray the wound with Blu-Kote - if you can't catch her than the chicken sitter certainly won't be able to even get close to her.

But you can go into the coop after they settle in on the roost to spray the blu-kote.
