My chicken has diarrhea, a flopped over comb that has tiny white spots, is lethargic, and eating very little. 😔 What could be wrong???

Pictures can really help. White dots or chalky material on combs can be a fungal infection (favus) which may be treated with miconazole or clotrimazole cream.

Hi, crop feels normal. Just switched to NatureWise Harvest blend. All of the chickens love it. She’s not eating NOW tho. I fielded more info and pics earlier today to “Eggcessive”, someone suggested that they could help too. But I haven’t received any response yet. Thanks, Marti

oh my, I hope she is able to recover :hugs

Pictures/videos could help determine what is wrong. Give her some electrolytes to buy her some times.

could be fowl pocks or a fungal infection.
I think @Wyorp Rock or @Eggcessive might know more than me
Thank you. I mixed up some homemade electrolytes and gave her some with a dropper. Then I realized that Rooster Booster has the same thing. But I don’t know how to make a small concentrated batch to feed her with a dropper, do you? I had been putting this in their waterer until they stopped laying, and then switched to apple cider vinegar w/ the mother. Could this fungus cause her diarrhea?
Thx, Marti

What is your general location, and temperature now? Is her comb discolored at the tips? How old is she, and has she been laying eggs recently? Can you feel of her crop first thing in the morning and tell us if it is empty, full, squishy, or hard? Has she molted recently or molting now? Rooster Booster is simply a brand name, and they have multiple products. Do you have the name of it or a picture of it. They sell Poultry Cell a liquid concentrate of amino acids, electrolytes and vitamins which can be given orally 1 ml for each 3 pounds of weight. They also sell granules which have lactobacillus probiotics, with vitamins and minerals that is put into food or water. I would give some probiotics in plain Greek yogurt with live cultures, or offer a little cottage cheese which may firm up her poop.

Colorado. It’s been in the 20s at night. She’s 1.5 yrs old. She is the only one still popping out an egg every few days. But none over the past four. She has never molted. She is however missing feathers on her underside. I’ve sent pics and other info but I don’t see them on the web site under your name. Thx!

The product you have can be added to some feed with a little water mixed in. Some soft cooked egg would be good to offer as well. It can cause more diarrhea if used more than a few days. She may be starting her molt now. She is at the right age for her first.
