My chicken has not gotten out of her nesting box for 3 days!

I have a chicken that we have had for a couple months now. Normally she lays an egg and gets right out of the nesting box. The last few days she has been laying in the laying box and only gets up once to get a drink. We DO NOT have a rooster. Every time I open the nesting box she puts up her feathers. I don't know if she is sick or not? Could anyone tell me what they think it is? She is about 1 1/2 years old.

I would say she's broody, but if she's laying, then she probably isn't. Are you sure that the eggs she is nesting on are hers? If they aren't, then she's broody. Hens go broody whether there's a rooster around or not, and only get up once a day to eat/drink.
