    Welcome to BYC donna---
People will want to know how old is this chicken, what you are feeding, free range or confined, and any symptoms out of ordinary...
Meanwhile, be sure to check out the Learning Center, and there are forums covering almost any question you can think of...
    Good luck,

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Sometimes they do just take a break. For how long do you think she has stopped laying? Could she have a hidden nest somewhere? If she is eating, drinking and seems happy in herself I would not be too worried.

Good luck for the future and enjoy BYC :frow

G’Day from down under donna1967 [IMG] Welcome!

As you have some good advice and questions already, I will just wish you all the best. I will mention though that I have a Frizzle Bantam Cochin who is only 3.5 years old and she has not laid an egg since December 2015. So she stopped laying at 2 years old. She is happy and healthy. Female chicks hatch with all the eggs she will lay and may be she just did not have that many to start off with.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]

    Out to pasture
Corn is really only good for fattening up chickens, it's really not nutritious.
